Bad Pony is the product of musical brainstorming between Sam Thomlinson and Jarred Young – two 20-somethings who met while playing in a blues rock band from Northern Sydney. Sam encouraged Jarred (who plays drums in Lovers Jump Creek) to start using his voice and even though the guys live on opposite sides of Sydney, they formed Bad Pony, and began meeting at a studio halfway between their homes to write, rehearse and record.
Bad Pony are influenced by a large range of artists such as Manchester Orchestra, The Dear Hunter, Thrice, Michael Jackson and Tokyo Police Club. The band produce their own unique sound consisting of indie, rock, pop and folk elements and recruited the best up and coming musicians in Sydney to form the 6-piece that will be joining the first leg of the 2013 Rock The Schools tour!

Touring with Rock the Schools: 24/4/2013 (Brisbane) – 15/5/2013 (Sydney)
